Kimono Robe “Azure in Ink”

Azure in Ink is a silk chiffon kimono robe reminiscent of a night landscape painted with a few unhurried brushstrokes. Cobalt and turquoise washes emerge across an ink-black ground. Their edges dissolve into darkness, while fine dusty-copper and lilac marks suggest distant lights reflected on water.

The abstract print shares an affinity with East Asian ink painting: its attention to the movement of the brush, the depth of colour and the space left open. Rather than depicting a literal scene, the broad blue strokes invite associations with an evening river, mist-veiled mountains or clouds above a sleeping garden.

Sheer chiffon lets light through, softening the saturated colours. Across the back, the pattern unfolds on a broad canvas; with the arms raised, the wide sleeves reveal the fabric’s delicate transparency. Deep-blue front bands frame the composition and define the silhouette’s vertical lines.

Sized S–L, the long, relaxed cut and generous sleeves leave room to move. A belt finished with silk tassels gently defines the waist. Wear the robe open over black separates for a deep tonal look, or choose a pale base to bring the pattern into sharper focus.
