Reversible Kimono Robe “STARS OVER BUKHARA”

STARS OVER BUKHARA is a reversible silk kimono robe that sets expressive ornament against a quiet, natural palette. Sand-beige silk recalls pale stone holding the warmth of the day. Its visible texture gently diffuses the light, while fine lines of decorative stones along the edges catch brief highlights — like the first stars appearing at dusk.

The reverse reveals a muted olive-beige shade. Its smoother surface falls into fluid folds, contrasting with the pale front bands. Here, jiyak — an ornamental decorative trim — becomes particularly prominent: burgundy, terracotta-red and gold-toned motifs frame the wide sleeves, continue along the belt and form a vertical accent on the back.

Teardrop shapes and delicate botanical scrolls create a flowing repeat. Their rich colours evoke the decorative textiles of Central Asia. The name draws on a poetic vision of Bukhara, a city whose beauty can be found both in grand architecture and in the smallest ornamental detail.

Decorative stones add a restrained sparkle without overshadowing the silk or the jiyak. The embellished belt gathers the fabric at the waist, with small pendants at its ends providing a delicate finishing touch. The two sides offer a choice between pale simplicity and more pronounced ornamental framing.

Sized S–L, the long, relaxed cut and wide sleeves create a softly enveloping silhouette. Pair the robe with a wine-burgundy dress, as shown in the photographs, to echo the trim, or with ivory separates for a gentle tonal look.
